Nastygal

After a horrendous week of drama and 'nasty girls' I decided to turn to my favourite online shopping website nastygal. Ha. Here are some of my fave newies -

Dreaming of Paris

Paris has been in my daydreams A LOT. My trip last year was quite short (10 days) but enriching. The memories I have taken away will last me a lifetime.

Here are my top 3 Parisian memories:

Angelina - the most beautiful cafe/pastry shop opposite the Jardin Des Tuileries. They have the thickest, richest most incredible hot chocolate you will ever taste. I noticed many a local dipping croissants into it, yummmm.

The Jardin Des Tuileries - most beautiful park I have ever seen. I found myself wanting to go back again and again to wander amongst the manicured gardens and fountains.

Versaille - I am officially in love with Versaille. After a rather unhealthy addiction to Sofia Coppola's 'Marie Antoinette' film, I was so excited to see the real deal. It was breathtaking.

Grey Interiors

I have been a little obsessed with grey for a while now.  I just finished painting my room 'Dior Grey' and adore it. Teamed it with white curtains and linen and newly renovated black furniture - the contrast is striking and elegant. Love. Love. Love. These are some of my all time fave grey rooms -

russh

So in love with russh magazine's incredible design. The layout - large images, simplistic text and plenty of white space, is so appealing and crisp and straight up cool.

Oh, and the photo shoots are okay too.

Shakuhachi

Shakuhachi's new range (available through mycatwalk) is hot. Don't often find a range where I love every piece. Here are some of my faves:

Ah McEwan... You've done it again

Just finished reading Ian McEwan's 'Enduring Love' and cherished every second of it. I loved 'Atonement' and found the same in-depth explorations of the human psyche and thought process in this one as well.

A quick summary - loved up couple Joe and Clarissa are having a picnic out in a field. They spot a hot air balloon floating quite low nearby, only to realise that a man is dangling from the basket. A group of onlookers race over and, in an effort to save the dangling man and the young boy trapped inside the basket, one man falls to his death. During the rescue effort, Joe exchanges a misinterpreted glance with 'Jed', one of the younger man who rushed over to help. This glance begins Jed's burning obsession with Joe, an obsession which threatens Joe's sanity, his relationship and his innocence.

Although there were a few questionable moments in the story, I was quite enraptured. Highly recommended.

Girl Crush

Lara Bingle in Oyster magazine took my breath away. So incredibly feminine, yet not girly in the slightest. The clothes are to die for - who doesn't love a buttoned up crisp shirt, bow ties and patent leather? Yum.
